British expat mother of two, Claire Savarino currently lives in Nimes, South of France where most of the year it is sunny and hot.  Claire moved to the beautiful South of France in 2010 after falling in love with her French husband.  They travelled and danced before settling down and welcoming their gorgeous boy Romeo to the family in 2016. Ruby later arrived in 2019.

After the birth of Romeo, Claire quickly became aware that there was a gap in the market for an interesting, bilingual children’s books.  Books have always interested Claire, and there never felt like a more right time to launch herself into being a Children’s book author.

Her first book entitled Where's Roméo? was published in September 2020 and is now available to buy (see 'where to buy' tab.

About the book

Where’s Roméo? is a bilingual children’s book. The book is aimed at children of all ages to help them learn French and English in a fun and playful way.  Children can learn another language along with improving their geographic knowledge. Each numbered book will show Roméo in a different city that you will need to identify through clues, and illustrations.  Each time you will discover characteristic points of the city (or region) with some facts or descriptions. These explanations are in French and English. The goal is to guess where these points are in order to find out where Roméo is.  For example if Roméo were in Paris we would talk about the Eiffel Tower saying it is a metal monument erected for the World Fair, the Louvre which was the royal palace etc ...

Where's Roméo? Vol1 is a part of a collection which will see Roméo travel the world and you can follow him on his adventures whilst learning at the same time.

Whether you want another interesting book to read to your children, educate them on geography, or to learn another language, you need to grab yourself a copy. It makes the perfect gift for friends, teachers, family.  Happy reading.
